When books are being scanned by conventional scanners the spine of the book is heavily overstretched.
Therefor the book scanner "BooX" enhances a careful handling of books through it‘s adapted design. Its triangular profile represents a save support for books to be scanned and is also a reference to an open book.
"BooX" is intended to be released in two versions. A compact model for home use and an advanced version for libraries, which consists of a rotatable wall mount. By rotating "BooX" at 180° angle, not only its formal nature is changed but its function as well. The opposite side of "BooX", which is the counterpart of the scanner, works as a printing device.
